Long-Term Vision

Raphara Health was founded on a calling: to restore the personal, compassionate relationship between doctor and patient, rooted in the Christian faith. The Direct Primary Care (DPC) model is the method that allows us to provide truly personal, unhurried care. But it is only the beginning.

Our goal is not just to build a medical practice, but to cultivate a true community of health—one that honors God by caring for our bodies, minds, and spirits.

This is a long-term mission, and we are building it in three sustainable phases.

Three phases of building

Phase 1:
The foundation
(years 1-2)

Our first priority is to build a strong, sustainable foundation with minimal overhead.

For the first two years, we will:

  • Build our patient panel with a focus on high-quality, accessible care through virtual visits.

  • Operate on a lean model to keep costs low. This ensures that every membership fee is maximized for patient care and ministry growth.

  • Establish a self-sustaining model that proves the value of affordable, faith-based DPC in our community.

Phase 2:
Growing Our Roots
(Years 3-5)

As our membership community grows, we will begin to expand our reach and capabilities.

In this phase, we plan to:

  • Vet and hire another like-minded, mission-driven medical provider to serve more patients with the same level of personal care.

  • Expand our patient panel with the new provider, allowing us to serve more families.

  • Begin saving for our first dedicated brick-and-mortar facility—a central home for our health community.

Phase 3:
The Full Vision
(Years 5-10)

This is our ultimate goal: a robust, multidisciplinary wellness center that treats the whole person.

We envision a facility that is a true hub for community health, staffed by a team of dedicated professionals, including:

  • Physical Therapist

  • Registered Dietitian

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor

  • Pastoral Counselor (MACC)

  • Gardener (to help cultivate a community garden for healthy food)

Our Phase 1 Goals:
Launching a Sustainable Ministry

Raphara Health is built on transparency. To launch this vision and ensure it lasts, we are pursuing two distinct goals simultaneously during Phase 1 (Years 1-2): securing the capital to start and the community to sustain.

1. The Launch Fund (Donations)
  • Phase 1 Goal: $15,000

  • Purpose: While memberships sustain us long-term, we cannot rely on monthly fees alone to open our doors. This fund bridges the gap, allowing us to:

    • Capitalize the Safety Net: Fully funding the "One Another Fund" for our first 10-15 charity patients immediately.

    • Build the Foundation: Covering the essential "hard costs" of opening (malpractice insurance, EMR software, licensing).

    • Seed the Future: Planting the first seeds for our future physical wellness center.

  • Status (updated weekly):

$50

$15,000

A Note on Stewardship: To ensure Raphara Health is built on a sustainable foundation, our founder,

Dr. Hoyos, is volunteering her medical services and taking $0 in salary for the first year. This means 100% of your donation goes directly to operational costs and patient care—not administrative overhead.

2. The Founding raphara family members
  • Phase 1 Goal: 100 Members

  • Purpose: Our operational goal is to welcome 100 patients into our practice. Reaching this milestone ensures that our monthly membership revenue fully covers the clinic's ongoing overhead, transitioning the ministry from "startup mode" to a self-sustaining medical home.

  • Status (updated weekly):

5/100

The Result:

When both goals are met, Raphara Health is fully funded, operationally secure, and ready to serve for the long term—caring for ourselves and our neighbors together.

Help us reach phase two!

Four ways to join us

become a Member

When you join Raphara Health, you are doing two powerful things at once:

  • You get exceptional care for your family. You receive high-quality, personal, and intentional primary care from a physician who knows you.

  • You support our nonprofit mission. Your membership fee is the sustainable financial foundation that allows our ministry to offer a sliding-scale, income-based membership tier.

    • Five Standard Memberships OR Two Good Neighbor Memberships = 1 Sliding-Scale membership

This special fund provides the same high-quality DPC access to individuals and families in our community who cannot afford the full membership fee. Your membership is a powerful way to care for your own family and care for your neighbors.
